Don't I have to be a language major, or speak another language to study abroad? No. Most programs are taught in English, so you should have a good command of English, but your English doesn't have to be perfect and it doesn't have to be your major.
Is there a minimum GPA for study abroad? The minimum grade point average required to participate in our program is 2.75.
How much will it cost to study abroad? KNU's International Exchange program is a reciprocal one, meaning our student trades places with a student from a sister school in a foreign country for one or two semesters. Therefore, the cost for each credit hour is about the same. The cost for meals and housing is also usually included in the exchange agreement. However, students studying in an exchange program are responsible for minimal pre-departure cost, transportation, and insurance. Students should also prepare any personal incidental expenses and leisure spending money they might require.
Is there financial aid? Most fniancial aid already received by students can be applied to exchange programs.
When should I study abroad? You may participate in the exchange program anytime during your time at KNU.
Can I earn credit in my major abroad? Yes. The credit you receive while abroad counts the same as the credit you receive on KNU's camus.
Can I fulfill my foreign language competency abroad? Yes .
What do I need to do after I've been accepted to a program? After being notified by the Office of International Programs and Services that you have been accepted into a program, you should let us know if you will attend a program. This is especially important if you have applied to more than one program. Following this step, we will help you with application contracts, insurance forms, and course approval forms.
